- I am sorry that there is no documentation for this version of RAP. I did
- attempt to write some, but it was a rushed effort and I felt they were getting
- too confusing, so I stopped the process.
-
- In short, here's how to proceed:
-
- 1) Copy all of the files in this archive to your RAP directory.
- 2) Use your favourite file viewer/editor to view UPGRADE.DOC for upgrading
- instructions, or INSTALL.DOC for a new installation.
- 3) Follow those instructions! <grin>
-
- Those of you that we programmers especially like (we call them
- documentation readers) have the following references:
-
- RAP.DOC - The RAP v1.00a documentation. Included as an intro. to RAP.
- BETA.DOC - RAP v1.82 Beta Notes. This functions like an addendum to
- RAP.DOC, so it should be taken as correct.
- HISTORY.DOC - A detailed log of modifications to RAP.
- INSTALL.DOC - Quick Installation Guide.
- WHATSNEW.DOC - A one-liner list of modifications to RAP.
-
- If you're totally new to RAP, read RAP.DOC to get an idea of how RAP works
- and what it is used for. Then read BETA.DOC to learn about the new features
- and changes made for RAP v1.82.
-
- If you've set up RAP before, you can probably just get away with reading
- BETA.DOC. As noted above, it is written as an addendum to RAP.DOC, so the
- transition should be easy to make. You might also want to check out
- WHATSNEW.DOC and/or HISTORY.DOC to see what's new at a glance.
-
- I hope to have documentation for the next public release, so bear with me
- until then. I can always be reached for technical support via the means
- described at the end of BETA.DOC.
